ALAN LANDAU 

Town Treasurer - Incumbent

Alan has lived in Litchfield for 60 years, graduated from Litchfield High School and later Ohio University with a degree in Business and Marketing. He has been involved with Litchfield Boards for over 40 years, including Park & Recreation, Board of Ethics, Possum Queen Foundation, and an Advisory Board Member for Northwest Community Bank for over 32 years.

Alan has owned and operated a multitude of businesses including Sunshine Car Care, The Litchfield Athletic Club, and Engineered Coatings, Inc. – all based in Litchfield. My experience with the financial processes of running these businesses is highlighted only by my ability to communicate and work effectively with the teams around me to collectively make the best, informed decisions.

Having a strong background in balanced budgeting, market analysis, and accounting practices, he continues to strive to keep Litchfield on the right path as we progress into the future.  Having been the Treasurer for the past 2 years Alan has provided the experience and knowledge required to best advocate for the taxpayers of the Town of Litchfield.

Alan is proud to have made his life here in Litchfield, while raising his son and operating successful businesses along the way. He and his wife Beth have always enjoyed the beauty of Litchfield and all it has to offer.

HELEN BUNNELL

Tax Collector - Incumbent

Helen is a graduate of Endicott College with a degree in Business. She has lived in Litchfield for 38 years, and all of her four children graduated from Litchfield High School.

 

She served on Litchfield Planning and Zoning, Park and Recreation Commission, and the Board of Finance for 14 years. She was a Probate Judge for the Towns of Litchfield, Warren, Morris from 1999 to 2007, and was appointed Tax Collector by the Board of Selectmen in 2018.

 

Helen works with her husband in running their Family Farm in the Milton section of Litchfield.

Lisa Losee

LISA LOSEE

Town Clerk - Incumbent

Lisa is very proud to have served the community in the Town Clerk’s office since 2006, first as an Assistant, in 2007 as Acting Town Clerk, and then first elected in 2009 as Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics. She is a Certified CT Town Clerk by the Secretary of the State.  

 

Over the course of her tenure, Lisa has had many accomplishments. She first brought computers into the office. Land Records back to 1979 and all filed survey maps were digitized and made available on-line. She’s secured thousands of dollars in grants allowing multiple conservation projects and the continued preservation of official Town and residential records, which go back to 1719 and are maintained in the Clerk’s vault.

 

Along with her long time Asst., Robyn Ryle, Lisa carries out many duties for the community including issuing marriage licenses, sportsmens’ licenses, dog licenses, and pistol permits. They maintain all official Town records, not only of Town government but for residents as well, which includes the registration of all vital records; deaths, births, marriages, military records and those records pertaining to property ownership. They issue certified copies of those records and act as Notary Publics. They are also Election Officials involved in Election management and reporting, ballot creation and the issuance of Absentee ballots, just a few of their responsibilities. She continues to advance technology in the office and continues her education and training

Lisa is a third generation Litchfield resident. She has been married to Peter for 35 years, has two lovely daughters, and six beautiful grandchildren. Lisa is an active member of the Litchfield County Clerk’s Assoc., CT Town Clerk’s Assoc., served on the Mentor committee and currently on the state conference committee and is a CERT volunteer. She is very honored to be able to serve the Town of Litchfield and give back to the community which she loves and which has been so good to her and her family.
